FHIR version of the EHDS logical models

This guide is based on HL7 FHIR R4 (4.0.1), while the EHDS logical information models package it depends on (xtehr.eu.ehds.models#1.0.0) is based on HL7 FHIR R5 (5.0.0).

The MyHealth@EU logical models in this guide refine the EHDS models; they are not meant to be implemented or exchanged. The IG Publisher reports this version mismatch as a warning. It does not affect the R4 profiles that implementers use.

Pattern discriminators

Two slicings use the pattern discriminator:

• Composition.section in CompositionLabReportMyHealthEu, on code;
• Observation.category in ObservationResultsLaboratoryMyHealthEu, on $this.

The pattern discriminator is valid in HL7 FHIR R4 but deprecated in R5, where value is used instead. These slicings follow the HL7 Europe Laboratory Report 2.1.0 profiles that this guide imposes, which use pattern for the same elements. They will be aligned when those profiles change.
