This page describes the business scenarios for the ePrescription/eDispensation Workflow Use Case.
Scenarios
ePrescription retrieval on a cross-border scale
Check Patient ID.
Once the identity of the patient is validated, the health professional or pharmacist in country B queries country A for the list of available prescriptions of that patient.
The HP interface requests the list of prescriptions of country A to the NCP of country B.
The NCP of country B requests the list of prescriptions to the NCP of country A.
The NCP of country A, after checking if patient consent has been provided (where applicable), gets and provides to the NCP of country B the list of prescriptions available for the patient.
The NCP of country B conveys the list to the HP interface.
The HP-B selects the prescription and requests it to the NCP of country B.
The NCP of country B requests the selected prescription to the NCP of country A.
The NCP of country A gets and provides to the NCP of country B the requested prescription in the MyHealth@EU format.
The NCP of country B conveys the prescription of country A to the HP interface.
eDispensation provision to the country of affiliation
The medicine is dispensed in country B based on the selected prescription.
The dispensation information is recorded by the dispensing system.
The dispensation information is sent to the NCP of country B.
The NCP of country B sends the dispensation information to the NCP of country A in the format specified by MyHealth@EU.
The NCP of country A sends the dispensation information to the national infrastructure to update the prescription and dispensation workflow.
The NCP of country A sends back the confirmation of receipt to the NCP of country B.
The NCP of country B sends the confirmation receipt to the dispensing system.
The use case is terminated.
